Our Foodbank team continue to provide holistic support that makes a real difference.
We recently supported a client* who was referred to Sutton Foodbank through a college. The client, who experiences visual difficulties, came to us in need of practical support and guidance.
During his visit, we were able not only to provide food assistance but also to take an extra step in connecting him with additional services that could improve his day-to-day life. He expressed sincere gratitude after being signposted to Sutton Vision, highlighting how meaningful it was to receive support tailored to his specific needs.
The client also shared positive feedback about his experience at the Foodbank session, describing it as “excellent people doing service happily.” His words reflect the welcoming and compassionate environment that our team strives to create for everyone who walks through our doors.
To further support his independence, we signposted him to Sutton Library, where he can access Free SIM etc to help with the cost of living
This case highlights the importance of holistic support—going beyond immediate needs to ensure individuals are connected with the right resources in the community. It is often these additional steps that make a lasting difference.
