About

Sutton Community Works started as an informal gathering of Sutton & Cheam churches as part of Soul in the City in 2004 . The aim was to do social action over a 2 week period in 2004.

In 2010 we decided to set up a Charity to do this in a more organised and structured way. Sutton Community Works became the new organisation which now has 21 partnering churches. Sutton Community Works brought Sutton Street Pastors and Sutton Foodbank under its umbrella both of which had already commenced as projects.

Our aims have always been to encourage churches in the borough and aid them in putting their faith into action through initiating projects in response to local needs.
